Where listing data comes from
Listings on practitionermap.com are compiled from public sources: state licensing registries (the Oregon Board of Chiropractic Examiners and the Washington State Department of Health), practices’ own published websites, and public business information. License status carries a dated verification stamp showing when it was last checked against the state registry.
A listing is a factual directory entry. It is not an endorsement, a ranking, or a statement about quality of care.
Claiming your listing
Clinic owners and practitioners can claim their listing through the claim form. Claims are checked against the state license registry before approval. The same form handles correction and removal requests for one or many locations.
Corrections
If your practice’s name, address, phone, website, or license information is wrong, email us or use the claim form. We verify corrections against your published information or the state registry, then update the listing. We acknowledge requests within 2 business days and publish verified corrections within 5 business days.
Removal
Any practice may request removal of its listing. Email us from an address associated with the practice, or include a callback number we can verify against your published contact information. We acknowledge removal requests within 2 business days and complete them within 10 business days. Removed practices are not re-added by later data imports.
A practitioner listed by name may request removal or correction of their own entry, whether or not they own or still work at the practice. We verify the request against your license record or your published professional contact information before acting on it.
We decline removal requests that cannot be verified as coming from the listed practice or practitioner.
Privacy requests
If you are a practitioner and request deletion of your personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act or a similar law, we treat the request as a removal request and complete it within the statutory window. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle personal information generally.
License information disputes
We display what the state registry says, with the date we checked it. If you believe the displayed status is wrong, contact us and we will re-check the registry that day. We correct the listing whenever the registry disagrees with what we show. We do not display license information that differs from the state registry.
Featured placements
Featured positions are paid directory placements, labeled as sponsored and disclosed on the page where they appear. They are governed by a written agreement with the featured practice. A featured placement is not a clinical recommendation.
